“My name is Michael O’ Leary and I am a local General Contractor. In my younger years, I grew up on historic Summit Avenue in St. Paul, MN and graduated from Highland Park Senior High School. I triple majored in Finance, Marketing, and Industrial Relations while playing collegiate soccer at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. After graduating, I was an expert in the telecommunications and cellular industry. During this time, I was the #1 salesperson for various companies that I worked for in the early 80s and 90s.
Looking for new challenges after the birth of my only son, I migrated into the insurance industry. I then started, and owned a Farmers Insurance agency for 12 years. When my son turned 3, I found out he was diagnosed with Leukemia and went through some difficult challenges during this time. I’ve been a resident of Eden Prairie for 25 years and served as a Commissioner for 3 terms. I was also involved in coaching and volunteering for Eden Prairie sports for over 10 years.
I ended my career with Farmer’s because I found I enjoyed handling insurance claims and solving people’s problems. This led me to become a General Contractor in 2012. I specialize in handling insurance claims from the construction side. As a General Contractor and my knowledge of the insurance industry, I am able to get the work completed and handle the insurance paperwork. We are a small company, so we work harder.
